You must have your own domain name... and it must be perfect.
Domains are cheap, if you don't have your own...it's absolute proof that you're smaller than the little guy.
Make sure that you create domains that...
- are sharp and short
- are easy to remember
- are easy to convey (can you spell the domain on voice mail and be understood?)
The first thing a visitor to your web site will notice is your domain name. Start with a good impression right away.
OK!... Found the perfect domain name?
Now that you have chosen the perfect domain name... you must make sure that it is available.
If it's not available... make some adjustments... and try again. And a free domain is not always the best choice.
Choosing your own domain name and registering your own domain name may seem academic if you are just starting out. But it is well worth the up front time and effort to get that perfect domain name.
